Bill's Story

Bill Hemberger’s voice was destined to be heard – over airwaves, telephones, throngs of shoppers, TV land and the world. His father, an RCA man, brought it all home to young Bill – the power, the presence, the future – that would be his.

“My father used to bring home cool gadgets like all the new tape recorders, all the new radios, so I was always playing disc jockey down in the basement as a kid. My brother is an anchorman. My whole family has been involved in broadcasting in some form.”

After his collegiate DJ nights in New Jersey, Bill moved to San Antonio to manage KBRN, the family radio station. He met his future wife, Susan, and began doing commercials for radio and television. Thus was Bill born into the exciting world of broadcast media.

When the couple returned to New Jersey, Bill DJ’d at WRNJ in Hackettstown. He and the station’s owner started Please Hold of America, producers of On Hold message tapes for business. (Bill owns the company now as part of Summers Communications, Inc., which also produces radio, TV, and in-store commercials and sells all the attendant and necessary equipment anyone could dream of.)

While building his production company, Bill continued to disc jockey at several radio stations in Sussex County, NJ. Then in 2002, Bill struck out on his own. Today, his digital studio enables him to work from home quickly and efficiently.

Bill’s lively gift for animation came to fruition in 2005 with How Machines Work, an Indiana-based web development company that produces technical, instructional videos. He developed voices for video cartoon characters. Recently, his voicing of Gary the Guitar rounds out his multi-instrument learning CD series for Seattle-based eMedia Music Corp.

Bill does dialogue replacement for cartoons for Everest Productions, a Turkey-based television network with a US presence in Somerset, NJ.

Today, Bill Hemberger’s talent extends globally. From New Jersey boardrooms, film production in Texas, California agriculture commercials, to Turkey-based TV and the World Wide Web, Bill Hemberger’s voice is The Perfect Voice for Today’s Media.

Bill lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife, Susan, a music teacher. He is also a musician.
